The Department of Biotechnology at Quaid-i-Azam University needed to treat a distinctive combination of sewage and laboratory-derived wastewater — a more complex composition than standard domestic sewage, in an academic and research setting.
Critical GREEN designed and implemented a bioremediation-based constructed wetland system sized for a flow of 0.3 cusecs, engineered specifically to handle the combined sewage and laboratory wastewater stream to NEQS discharge quality.
Completed in January 2013, the system continues to demonstrate the application of ecological wastewater treatment within an academic research environment, and reflects Critical GREEN's longstanding relationship with QAU as both a client site and a research partner for nature-based treatment work.
