The Challenge

Kiran Sugar Mills Limited, Sukkur, needed to manage sugar-processing wastewater treatment costs and energy demands across a seasonal crushing cycle, while still meeting effluent treatment obligations.

The Solution

Critical GREEN designed a constructed wetland wastewater treatment system, applying biological and nature-based processes selected specifically to reduce dependence on energy-intensive mechanical treatment systems.

The Outcome

The completed system gives the mill an environmentally focused treatment approach with a meaningfully lower operating-energy footprint than a comparable mechanical system.
