Hybrid Constructed Wetland
← Back to Project Portfolio

The Challenge

Silanwali Sugar Mills produces one of the more concentrated wastewater streams in Critical GREEN's portfolio โ€” a high-organic-load industrial effluent for which a single-stage treatment system is often not the most effective answer.

The Solution

Critical GREEN developed a hybrid biological treatment solution combining anaerobic biological treatment with constructed wetlands in a staged design: the anaerobic process handles the bulk of the organic load first, and constructed wetlands then provide a nature-based polishing stage.

The Outcome

The completed system combines the treatment capacity of engineered biological processes with the ecological sustainability of wetland-based systems โ€” representing one of Critical GREEN's more advanced treatment configurations, and demonstrating the company's capability to design beyond a single technology when the wastewater characteristics call for it.
